Nosodes: polychrest remedy: Anti- Sycotic

Nosodes are such medicines which covers the Sphere of Action of many medicines

MIASMATIC APPROACH:

It is called  as Anti- Sycotic medicine , not because it’s source is Gonorrheal Discharge but as it covers most of the SYCOTIC symptoms. When we see any 3 to 4 Sycotic symptoms we can think of MEDORRHINUM.

When there is PAUCITY OF SYMPTOMS or GROSS PATHOLOGICAL CHANGES we can think of this remedy.

When we prescribe on Miasmatic symptoms hence that would be called as MIASMATIC REMEDY.

MEDORRHINUM ( The Drug Picture)

hot  + Thirsty + burning sole + Restlessness+ Sleep on Abdomen with knee chest position +  Protruding his Tongue

hot  : Can’t tolerate heat at all.

THIRST: There is a constant thirst, patient says ” DR Saab bohot  pyaas lagti hai , itna ki lagta h khwaab my bhi paani pee Raha hun”

SPHERE OF ACTION:

It has DEEP SEATED Chronic Affection and Chronic Rheumatism affecting Sympathetic Nervous System.

Now what is Deep seated?

Deep Seated = Pains or disease which are troubling the patient since many years and that has lead to Permanent Structural Damage.

For eg: Cervical Spondylitis, Lumbar Spondylitis, Tumor, Warts, Asthma or even Carcinoma. We have to ignore the name of disease or its pathology. We have to just look after the damage that has been already done.

It affects Spinal Cord , Sympathetic Nervous System, Chronic Pelvic Disorders are also seen.

If we get at least 3 of the above mentioned indications we can think of MEDORRHINUM.

PHYSICAL GENERALS & PARTICULARS:

* Soles are burning so much that  patient removes his feet out of the Blanket

 Whenever burning is present we only think of SULPHUR but if any Chronic Affection present with Burning we can think of MEDORRHINUM.

*Restlessness present

 CASE Eg : A patient with Dysmenorrhea sitting in your waiting area continuously moving her legs with pain, she is Restless then also we ask the Patient ” Aap Restless ho? ” If we are able to see clearly then no need to ask her we should take RESTLESSNESS as a symptom.

Another CASE where pt says ” Dr sahab mujhe pathri h bohot  paani Peeta hun itna ki pucho mat, fir bhi kyun pathri ho jaati h, pairon my jalan bhi h”

These 2- 3 sentences mentioned by pt clearly indicates towards Medorrhinum  so need to ask further questions.

* Lies in Knee Chest position on Abdomen

In my initial days of practice, I came across a child his parents said” Dr sahab isko mahi e k 30 din my se 15 din Sardi khaasi ki dawa pilani padti h , ye raat ko pet ke bal sota hai aur GOLA ( ice candy) bohot  pasand h isko, aur paani bhi bohot  Peeta hai” I simply prescribed him Medorrhinum he is doing well now

In Homeopathy we can break the tendency to form disease but for that we need PQRS.

Another case of Asthma, an old aged patient had Asthma since many years he used to Sleep on Abdomen with knee chest position and Protruding his Tongue and keeping his Feet out of blanket I gave him Medorrhinum.

Just by observing the patient without asking a single question we can prescribe the medicine.

Old age + asthma + sleep kn abdomen with knee chest position+ tongue protruding + burning sole : Medo

* Pain in Breast nipples and cold to touch

Patient says ( A lactating mother) ” Dr Saab itna dard h breast my poocho mat, aur Nipples k area my bohot  thand lagti h lekin baaki poora sharir garam rehta h bas wahi thand lagti”

* Cold agg yet desires to be Fanned

* Discharges are Profuse, Putrid,Acrid, Itching, Fishy odour.

Any discharge from the body be it Otorrhea, Coryza, Menses, Leucorrhoea, Watery Stools, have this characteristics present in them.

In today’s world where DM is common pt says ” Dr Sahab mujhe Peeshab bohot  hot i h usme se baas bhi bohot  ati h kbhi kbhi jalan bhi hot i h”  We can prescribe Medorrhinum, also don’t forget DM is a DEEP SEATED CHRONIC AFFECTION .

A case of Amenorrhea where pt says ” Dr Sahab mujhe period nhi aya pr Safed paani ( Leucorrhoea) bohot  zyada Jaa Raha h, private part my Itching bhi bahut hai aur smell bhi bohot  Ganda h”

Amenorrhea + leucorrhoea+ itching+ offensive: medo

Think of MEDORRHINUM.

* Warts on Female Genitals

* Cough Better by Lying on Abdomen

A case of PSORIASIS comes in your OPD and says” Dr Saab mujhe psoriasis h , pehle warts bhi tha kataya h warts ko, Asthma bhi h pr jb ulta hoke pet pe sota hun to acha lagta h”

These are Clear cut indications of MEDORRHINUM.

H/o warts SX removed+ h/o suppressd asthma+ psoriasis+ sleep on abdomen amel : medo

A/F:

BAD NEWS : Whenever he/she learns any sort of Bad news the complaints starts

ANTICIPATION : ” Mera exam h ab kya hoga, kuch padha nahi, result kya hoga, clear hoga ya nahi, Dr sahab aap mujhe theek to kar doge na? “

SUPPRESSED GONORRHOEA

Even if VDRL is NEGATIVE then also think of MEDORRHINUM. Ir body never keeps any Negative Energy within it, it tries to expell it in form of Discharges. May be the discharge was Suppressed earlier then VDRL is NEGATIVE, so in case of Suppressed Gonorrhea think of Medorrhinum.

KEYNOTES:

*Sterility : Menses, extremely painful, offensive, stains difficult to wash off.

* Increased Metrorrhagia at Climaxis, agg in morning with malignant disease of Uterus.

* Cutting knife like pains in Pelvic Region

* Violent itching at vulva, agg by thinking of it

* Breast cold painful at Menses

* Child – Dwarf, dull, understands questions after repetition only, bites his nails

* Fiery rashes about the Anus of Babies

( This symptom can be helpful in case of Allergic or Diaper Rashes in babies)

*Obstruction of nose with loss of Smell

* Children of Sycotic Parents

( if we are unable to extract symptoms in a child but his parents History is s/o SYCOTIC MIASM then we can prescribe MEDORRHINUM)

*Every complaint is obstinate ; obstinate constipation causes anal tear

* When best selected remedy Fails to Act

( It means we have already prescribed a drug on totality but results are not good and if we see at least 2 indications of Medorrhinum we can prescribe it)

* Fidgety of Leg

* Corns

* Soles and Feet tender to touch , cannot walk on them

* Patient wants to be Fanned

  Case comes where A child’s parents complains that “Dr Saab ye bohot  khata h , Pani to bohot  Peeta h aur jaise hi light chali jaati h turant neend se uth jaata h”

Above symptoms clearly indicates towards Medorrhinum.

MENTALS:

* Memory very weak, esp for names even his own, can’t finish a sentence

*Melancholy, suicidal thoughts, can’t speak without weeping

*Clairvoyance, foretells correctly

*Things seems strange, unreal

* Many ideas but uncertain on execution

* Hurried, Anxious Fastidious about Punctuality

* Time passes slowly

( Due to anticipation pt does all his works very fast, before time so he thinks time passes slowly)

* Fear of insanity

* Despair of recovery

* Anticipatory anxiety before any Engagement

* Ideas of marriage seems unendurable

( Those people who have not married yet, suffer from masturbation, Suppressed sexual excitement. They change their partner very frequently and become receptors of GONORRHOEA. Then Gonorrheal discharge is suppressed so we can think of MEDORRHINUM )

* Morose in daytime; exhilaration at night, wants to play

* Can’t tolerate Contradiction

* Fear of Misfortune

( pt says, “Dr Sahab mujhe lagta h kuch bura hoga mere saath”)

* Dread of saying wrong things

* Intense Selfishness

( This symptom or point is perfect in today’s world where everyone just think of themselves)

From now onwards if a patient enters your OPD with any of the mentioned indications then & whatever may be the name of disease, think of MEDORRHINUM

 APPETITE:

* Ravenous Hunger

 * Craves: Ice, Ice Cream, Ice candy , cold drinks, Salt, Sweets, Oranges, Sour foods, Green Fruits

{ salt desire: Nat m ,Phos ,Medo}

• Today’s Era is not a Curable Era, it’s a manageable Era. We have to just decrease the sufferings of patient.
• Always remember Prescribing is not a big deal we have to manage the case, try to collect FOLLOW UP properly.
